This was a personal project that I did using my character Theodore the Robot. I wanted to make something special for my boyfriend for our anniversary and since he loves bow ties, this seemed perfect. First I brainstormed what object I could use to give the pattern a theme, deciding finally on pizza. Once I had my theme, I began sketching. I brought my sketches into Photoshop and traced and colored my characters and pizza slice. I then arranged the digital characters into a pattern and picked a yellow background to compliment the cheesy pizza. I had this pattern printed on cotton linen and cut a pattern for the bow tie and pocket square. I sewed both on a sewing machine.
For the box, I decided to stick with the pizza theme and go with an 8"x8"x2" pizza box, hand lettering the pun "Love You to Pizzas" on the top.
